2001 Suzuki DR200

Here's my daily driver. I have other bikes that I ride for sport and touring, but if I consider what I actually ride every day...unbelievably, it's a little Suzuki DR200. It goes 60 on the highway and gets 75 miles to the gallon consistently. I also take it along when we go car camping to go exploring. No modifications. I think I must cut a humorous figure zooming around every day on a little DR200 wearing a full Aerostich suit. I ride the bejeezus out of it revving the engine until the valves float, cutting through traffic and taking shortcuts through parking lots and so on. I bought it new and now it's got 7,300 miles on it. Besides commuting every day and camping north of Lake Superior, it has been in the Rockies (14,000 feet on Mt. Evans) and in the Ozarks. Nothing has ever gone wrong with it...I've only done normal maintenance on it. Klay

DR200

Have one of those in my stable and do about the same things with it. I take it with me between the teardrop camper and tailgate of my truck on a rack. I did modify the carb jets and air box to give it a bit more zip and put on a smaller rear sprocket for road manners, re did the seat for a bit more wide ass comfort and it does very well for such a small powered bike both on and off road -cheap to buy, cheap to run and very forgiving.
