My 2007 BMW F800S gets 50-55 mpg!

It's true, my BMW F800S motor bike is getting 50+ mpg. All the while I have the wind in my hair and enjoy the ease of zipping up to the front of a line of cars backed up behind a street light.

I live in Santa Rosa and work in Windsor @ Santa Rosa BMW Motorcycles . We've been getting a TON of calls from people looking for alternative (and cost effective) means of transportation.

As a community, let's continue to create a bigger awareness for motorcycle safety and riding in general!

After all, our future may be on two wheels.

Very nice bike. And I agree. There needs to be more awareness of those of us that ride everyday. Stay safe!

Front of the line and safety

Zipping to the front and expecting non-cycle drivers to be safe when you're not isn't the best combination. We learned to ride responsibly both with our biicycles and scooters.

Sweet bike! I have the F800ST, and I love it. Try using non-oxygenated gas if you can find it. I do and I'm getting 60-65mpg!

Of course she wears a helmet; this is California, after all...and since she rides a Beemer, she's probably an ATGATT type of person...at least I hope so.

Actually, splitting lanes at

Actually, splitting lanes at stop lights is far safer than sitting at the back of the line and hoping that you do not get rear-ended. This tactic is taught at many motorcycle safety classes. When you are in between the cars (which are stationary at stop lights) you are prtected by the non-moving cars. When the light turns green you leave the traffic behind. And it is always safer to ride free of traffic. But then someone that rides "biicycles" probably doesn't pay much attention to details or common sense.

Awareness

If only car owners realised the more of us riders on the road, the less congestion there'd be!
BTW, I cant tell if your right leg is on the ground or not in the pic, but it isn't a good idea to sit on the bike like that with the side stand for support. Not meaning to be picky..

5xkawasaki bag

That's because much of Kawasaki's work in redesigning the engine was aimed at providing more low-end and midrange torque. Revving the old Ninja 250 was fun, but also essential for forward progress.

It's such a big bike for a girl! I don't know how you manage to drive it but I really congratulate you for having the courage to driving something like this!! To be honest I barely drive my own car and my husband has to do everything what has to do with the car, oh, actually the only thing I did regarding the car was buying a car cover!! :)) I hope that's enough.

It's my pleasure to become a member of this community. I'm passionate about motorbikes. And BMW is my love. All the day even in my dream, I think about that "classic king of the road". Hope one day I get a BMW of my own.

Re:

F800S is one of the best bikes in BMW; it is light and relatively agile with comfortable riding position so that you can ride whole day.
