My Commuter Buell XB12R Firebolt.
I began riding in September of 1991. I sold my car in February of 1992. I have used motorcycles to commute since then except for 2 winters in Washington state. I have over 300,000 miles on motorcycles with no major accidents. I work at Ray Price Harley-Davidson/Buell in the Rider's Edge program. I have a goal to turn as many people as possible into motorcyclist. My 2004 Firebolt was bought new in April 2004. On it's 3rd birthday, it had 48,000 miles on the clock. I have had to add the tailbag to carry my raingear and such. I always get ragged about how dirty it is between tire changes. I let the shop wash it during tire changes. :) Due to the belt drive, hydraulic valve adjusters, and it's light weight, it is the perfect commuter bike here in the Raleigh-Durham area, plus it gets 50mpg almost all the time.
